Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about Barbados Covid Lab.

Except for guests of The Crane Resort who have booked test inclusive rates, Crane Members and HGV Club Members, the PCR test is USD$109 (BDS$218) per person. The Rapid Antigen test is USD$49 (BDS$98) per person.

Please bring valid forms of identification for each member of your party being tested. Face masks/coverings are required. 

Current turnaround times for our COVID-19 PCR test results have been typically on the same day of swabbing.

COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test results are typically available within 30 minutes of swabbing. 

You will be notified by email. It is important that you provide accurate and complete contact information when making your appointment, as we use this information to contact you with your results. 

If you have not received your results within 24 hours of swabbing, please contact the lab by calling +1 246 416 6499 or emailing [email protected]. 

You may also contact The Crane Resort at 246 423 6220 after lab hours if required.

Per Barbados Travel Protocols,  fully vaccinated travellers are required to have a COVID-19 PCR Test administered on arrival in Barbados, either at the airport or at approved accommodation.

Unvaccinated travellers are required to quarantine for 5 days after which a COVID-19 PCR Test must be administered.

On receipt of a negative result from these tests, persons are free to enjoy the island.

Note: Rapid Antigen Tests are NOT accepted as quarantine-release tests and may only be used as departure tests for specific destinations.

Yes. Appointments are required and should be made online hereat least one day in advance.  

As a recognised private testing facility, we are mandated to report all test results to Barbados’ Ministry of Health.

Yes. Many countries now have border entry requirements for travellers to show proof of negative COVID-19 test results.  

Approved test types vary by country so be sure to check your home country’s requirements carefully before scheduling your test as requirements vary by country.

Note: Effective October 4th, return tests for the United Kingdom are no longer required for fully vaccinated travellers departing Barbados.

Barbados COVID Lab shall not be liable for inaccurate COVID-19 testing requests made by the client.

We offer Jetsetter Travel Testing Packages including the appropriate tests required, Fast Track service through the airport, and a one-way authorized taxi transfer to The Crane Resort on arrival into Barbados for a fast and seamless arrival into Barbados.

Fast Track services are provided through an external partner, at exclusive rates offered to Barbados Covid Lab clients.

Note: Effective now through October 8th, 2021 there is a 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM curfew in place nightly. During this period, all citizens, residents and visitors must be in their residences or hotels/villas by 9:00 PM.

Based on a number of variables surrounding flight arrival times, testing loads, etc. Barbados Covid Lab is unable to guarantee that the majority of test results will be returned before the curfew.

Given typical late-night test returns, travellers are strongly encouraged to book a minimum of one night at The Crane Resort or any other approved quarantine accommodation to await their test results.
